Each child writes and illustrates his or her own book and each receives a copy purchased by the school to take home. We will include order forms with the books for the purchase of additional copies. This ensures that every child is given the opportunity to publish his or her work in a hardcover book.
Price per book (up to 25 pages): $25.00/ Additional copies purchased by the parents: $20.00*
You can discuss funding with affiliated PTA organizations, Booster Clubs, etc...
Once you have decided to go ahead with the books, follow the instructions on the Guidelines for Submitting your Manuscripts page. Print out the School-Individual Project Order Form, fill it out and send it in with your manuscripts.

Students work together to write and illustrate one book. A book is purchased for each student author by the school.

Before commencing a project you may find it useful to receive parental input. Here is an example of a sample inquiry letter to send home with students explaining to the parents the project you are interested in creating, and the financial commitment that is required on their part to make it happen. Once you have decided to go ahead with the books, follow the instructions on the Guidelines for Submitting your Manuscripts page and please send the Parent Order Form home with the students and include it when assembling the individual manuscripts.
